No, your eyes aren’t fooling you on the subject name of this post.. BRAD AND I ARE MOVING!

I shall try to sum this up as short as I can but I tend to ramble and it gets a “mile” long haha. OKIE. Wednesday afternoon, Brad had just gotten home and I was about to start cleaning the animal cages when his Mommy called and he looked at me while he was on the phone with her and quietly said, “Go get dressed” And I’m thinking wtf??? Yenno? I go get dressed and when he gets off the phone with her, he says that she had found an apartment duplex for us to look at and she was already there and for us to come see it! So we rush to get ready to go and head off to Red Bay. I was thinking eh.. apartment duplex, ew.

Meet up with Brad’s Mom and the renter. Apparently, the other apartment belongs to the owners and they live in Wisconsin and only stay in that apartment when they come down to visit family and whatnot. OMG, HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! The duplex itself looks pretty new. Soo we checked it out inside and Brad’s Mom asked us what we thought of it. We both LOVED it. Told her we wanted it!!!! The windows are black and nice / new looking. It has 2 (nice sized) bedrooms, 1 bathroom, ALL TILE FLOOR!! A huuuge air conditioner unit in the living room, wall heaters, A BRAND NEW STOVE (since the mexicans that lived there previously had the other stove so filthy + nasty they just HAD to buy a new one, ewwww) OMG each bedroom has a HUGE closet that actually have DOORS to them instead of the regular sliding doors or sometimes closets don’t have doors or anything. Have a place in the kitchen for washer and dryer hook up when we get one. LOTS OF CABINETS AND DRAWERS IN THE KITCHEN, WOOT!! Has a door in the kitchen that opens up to our PANTRY! We also have a little coat closet! There’s a doorway that leads towards the bedrooms and that doorway has a sliding door that closes! I thought that was really, really nifty. The bathroom also has a little mini wall heater in it!

Sooo Wednesday evening, Brad’s Mom calls the renter and tells her we WANT IT. There was already another guy wanting to buy it ASAP but haha! He didn’t show up Wednesday to look at it and we got it first! WOO. My MIL (Brad’s Mom, course) said she’d pay our first months rent and the deposit! I was like.. wow, wow, wow. Thursday morning, she went and paid him the money then she went out and bought little things for me and Brad for the place! OMG HOW SWEET IS SHE?! She got us a doormat for outside our front door, a new mop bucket, cleaning supplies, A LITTLE BAR type table for our kitchen, (since we don’t have much room in there for a bigger table) um some rubber gloves for when i clean, a scrubber/sponge type thing, a clothes hamper for our bathroom!!!! I don’t even know how to say how grateful I am to her. So then, I was thinking about how we would get our power and water turned on and she said if we’ll pay the power, she’ll pay to have the water turned on! She went Thursday afternoon, paid the deposit and yesterday evening (well, earlier tonight) when we went back over to the apartment, THE WATER WAS ALREADY ON!!! OMG! Brad is gonna go and pay the power this afternoon right after he gets off work SO HOPEFULLY our power will be turned on TODAY AS WELL! OMG OMG OMG. I’m gonna go over to the apartment when Brad gets home and I’m gonna CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN that place EXTRA GOOD. Saturday we start MOVING! My Mommy has already said that I CAN HAVE MY BED!!!!!!!! YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME! We’ll have a bed UP OFF THE FLOOR AND A VERY, VERY COMFY ONE! We’ll go and get the bed Saturday probably and then go from there! Start moving things from here @ the trailor to the apartment! We need to ORDER DSL!!! So when we get that in, we can call and cut off our POS dial-up, HAHA GOODBYE DIAL UP! Also need to get a new phone number, call all the companies and tell them our new address and SO many other things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This whole thing still HASN’T completely sunk into my brain just yet. WE’RE MOVING INTO AN AWESOME COZY APARTMENT?! MOVING THIS WEEKEND?! Just utterly amazing. This came out of NOWHERE.. and it’s all thanks to Brad’s Mommy for searching, searching and searching for places for rent for us for the past almost 2 months. She told us she’d have us out of this trailor and into another place before Christmas and BOOM, we are indeed moving! I CANNOT FRIGGIN WAIT. I cannot wait to live in a nice looking apartment with a new stove, COMFY BED, an ACTUAL WORKING KITCHEN SINK to where I can WASH MY DISHES THERE and not in the BATHROOM sink like i’ve had to do for the past year, big closets to hang all of our clothes and things in. We have a nice little front yard with a few little trees and the backyard is a good size with more trees and we get an EXCELLENT view of the sky!! Best of all, we live right behind Fred’s dollar store.. we can walk there! I’m thinking of getting a job there and I COULD WALK to and from work!!! Also, there are no houses across from the duplex or on either side of us! One side of us is the railroad track that’s never used anymore and on the other is a little junkyard SO YAY, we can play our music still fairly loud and not have to worry about some nosey neighbor peeking around at us all the time. We’re gonna be living right down the road from Brad’s Grandparents (Mom’s side) and since we’ll live IN Red Bay, Brad will save money on gas since it’ll only take him like literally a few MINUTES to get to work instead of 15-20. He can also sleep a wee bit later in the mornings instead of having to get up at 4:30-5AM every morning.

I can’t even tell you how much I am really, really, really looking forward to this. I’LL HAVE DSL AGAIN?! OMGGGGGGGGG. Can you tell I’m excited yet?! WOOT. And again, I’m stuck with the word WOW. WOW, WOW, WOW. I’m so happy. I can’t wait to get over there today and CLEAN! We’re gonna move all we can this weekend and that would be LOOOVELY IF! We could have everything moved by Monday.

YAY IT’S FRIDAY! Pay day and the start of the WEEKEND. I could say soooo much more about our apartment but I don’t wanna ramble too much, lol. I’ll share more and more eventually!!!

So. The weekend is now over! It was quite interesting and I did have a good time.

Friday! Brad and I loaded up that evening after he got off work and headed towards Gatlins. Once we arrive, we get to finally meet Gatlins Dad. Learn that his Dad bought him a new XBOX 360! (lucky…) I guess around 5PM, Brad and I load up with Gatlin and his Dad to head to the church for the rehearsal. We take the LOOOONG way there. Took over 30 minutes or so and that’s the long way. Arrive and meet new people. Very nice people!! Brad sits by himself and looks lonely. I go up with Megan, her other bridesmaid (and cousin) Lacey and everyone else gets where their supposed to be. We run through the ceremony one time and everyone seems to know what their doing so we don’t feel the need to go through it again. The next 10 minutes are spent with Megan, her Mom, Grandma, Lacey and another lady trying to give me directions to the church, LOL. I was kindof confused at first coz of that many people giving me directions but I GOT IT!!! :grinny: Brad still looks bored… and I finally go and sit with him and eventually everyone else sits for a bit then we all decided to leave to go eat at Pickel Barrel and their paying for allllll the food, YAY!

Leave out and drive, drive, drive. Finally get to Pickle Barrel and it looks PACKED. Once we get out and venture towards the entrance door, Gatlins Mom informs us that our room is still occupied by other people and that they hadn’t been in there long. BOO! Everyone stands around outside… me and a few others run up to the front and sit in the rocking chairs. Sit and sit some moooore. WAITING. Finally! They say that the room is ready! We go in and aww, it’s all decorated. Lovely. At one of the tables is bride, groom, grooms men and brides maids. My poor baby had to sit at another table with the grown ups. I see 4-5 people I knew from High School. HAA! Lacey and I have a good laugh about that, too. I order pepsi as my drink. They bring the drinks and then later take all of our orders. Either fish or chicken. At first I wanted fish.. so I told them fish.
Somewhat-later, Gatlins Mom decides that It’s not fair that Brad doesn’t get to sit with us so she tells him to go sit with us and yay! He sits by me on the corner of the table (which, of course he complains about haha) and they eventually bring food. First the fish orders. I get mine. Then after a little thinking, I didn’t want the fish anymore. Reminded me of back in June, when I ate that fish and got sick.. I don’t think It was the fish BUT STILL. I tell Brad he can HAVE the fish and he had gotten the chicken so we decide to trade. YES! They finally bring out the chicken plates. MMM, chicken. Pretty good overall. LOVED THE ROLLS. The fries weren’t bad either!!! After eating that, we had some kindof cake for dessert. We all had a dirty joke about the “white creme” and the ”black creme”. Lacey laughed and laughed until her chest hurt. Haha. Good times. Later we joked about it again. Lacey laughed just as hard, again. :tongue: Talked and talked and well, talked some more. At that point, we all noticed It was after 9PM. Brad made an “uggh” noise.

We all get ready to leave and wait for everyone to gather up. There are deer hanging on the wall and Megan and I make conversation about how a kid might ask his/her parent about why there is a deer hanging on the wall and why only It’s head is showing. Amusing!! Wait for Brad to get out of the restroom then we head to car. Drive alllll the way back to Gatlins to get my dress. Brad and Gatlin joke around for a bit then 2 of Gatlins friends show up (Tony & Daniel? I think) and are looking for Gatlins LAN cable but find the XBOX cable instead. The 2 guys get to fooling around and then Daniel gives Tony a WEDGIE FROM HELL. The kind where he pulled his tighty whities UP AND OVER his head HAHAHAH. Oh man. It was hilarious. GATLINS MOM TOOK PICTURES!!!!! HAHAHA. Poor Tony. Gatlins Mom mentioned to me that she will miss stuff like that.. kids joking around all the time. They leave and Gatlin sits down to play his music on his XBOX 360. I signal to Brad that It’s time to goooo so we tell Gatlin byebye and leave. We make a stop by Wal-Mart to see If they have the new ALIEN ANT FARM CD and WHADDYA KNOW! THEY DID!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAY. Brad got POTC2 soundtrack as well. We both get a drink and venture back home coz we needed to go to bed seeing as they told me to be up @ the church at 10AM!

We get some ZzZz’s and I wake up a few different times between 7-8AM and eventually roll over and see Brad looking at me, lol. We should have just gotten up and went ahead RIGHT THEN and got ready but we had some action THEN got ready later than planned but It was all good!!! Hehe. We left about 10 minutes after 9AM and started out to the chuuuurch! We go down a LOOOONG road and Brad is worried we’re lost. He kept asking, “are you sure this is the right road?” YES Brad I’m sure! And It was. We eventually come out to the highway and have to cross over to the street that the church is on. Get to the church RIGHT ON TIME. Hooooyeah! Haha. We see no one.. yet. There is a older lady (not sure who she is as far as relation) but she tells us to go see the reception room, that it is really pretty. We venture back there and WOW, It really IS BEAUTIFUL. Set up sooooo nicely. Tables with one rose in a vase on each of them. Baby pictures of Gatlin and Megan set up at the front. Megan’s cake is GORGEOUS. Gatlins cake is CUTE! (It was a GIANT nintendo controller since he’s a mad gamer haha) All the leaves and flowers are REAL. I was really in awe. Lacey arrives! Eventually Brad heads to go be seated in the church. More people arrive. Lacey and I help carry in food from a van. The lady who was coming to take pictures was gonna be there at noon so they wanted to have us ready ready ready before then.

One lady starts on Megan’s hair then another starts on MY hair. Ohhhh boy. She realizes what THICK hair I have, lol. The style for Lacey and I was to pull is up and then curl the hair that was left down. Curling my hair is quite simple but still a task. A few people take turns curling it, lol. Once my hair is finished then onto Lacey! The woman that did my hair and her daughter go into the other bathroom to help me pull off my shirt over my head so I won’t mess up my hair. I get my dress on BUT IT’S BACKWARDS haha so I get it turned around and on right. Fix it all up.. Megan’s hair was pretty nice. Her hair is to the top of her shoulders so all they did was make 2 little braids on the front then pull those 2 braids back and then flip the bottom of her hair. Lacey and I both got green ribbons that tied in a bow on our heads. It was cute! Megan gets her dress on.. IT’S PRETTY!!! She gets all dressed. Lacey and I put on makeup and get that all done. Once we’re all dressed up.. all 3 of us, we come out and admire the food. One of Megans relatives DID ALL THE FOOD (pretty much) ALL HOMEMADE!!! We tried a few things.. DELICIOUS. We wait and wait and then VOILA they want us for pictures! Take pictures.. sit around some more. TAKES LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of MORE pictures. We take pictures outside the church, inside the church, everywhere! Brad comes back in the church and looks lonely again, lol. Then It was getting closer to WEDDING TIME!

We all go and line up outside in front of the church and wait. (again) People start to go in then It’s my turn!!! I walk down the aisle and go stand in my place. Lacey does the same. Then the BIG MOMENT! DUN DUN DUN DUN! Megan and her Dad walk down the aisle together. Pictures are snapped. They make it to the front. Eventually get to the part where the man doing the ceremony asks, “Who gives this woman to this man” and then her Father said, “Her Mother and I do” and he hugged Megan (awwww) and gave her hand to Gatlin. Next thing ya know, their HUSBAND AND WIFE! Yaaay! Everyone is happy happy. I walk back down the aisle with one of the grooms men and then once outside, I congratulate the NEWLYWEDS! The next few hours were spent eating and talking and talking more in the reception room. Got to see a lot of my friends from High School! Brought much happiness to me! Towards the end, Gatlin made a sweet, heart touching toast that made me smile super big and almost cry. We all go outside and Gatlin takes off Megans garter and throws it, one of Gatlins friends catches it!!! Megan throws her bouquet and 3 girls grab for it but Victoria (girl I knew from HS) caught it for the most part! Gatlin and Megan were about to leave after that so everyone lined up with their little vile of BUBBLES and blew bubbles at them as they went towards Gatlins car and then they drove away!

Ookaay. They were gone. I went and changed, got my stuff and said bye to Lacey. Lacey and her husband left… Gatlins friends were playing on the playground right beside the church and we were just kindof standing there. We were both tired but both wanted to go somewhere but.. there was no where to really go! Course that day was our 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY but Brad was super super super tired that he could hardly drive us back home. We made It back home and I was really down and sad that we weren’t doing anything for our 3 YEAR anniversary. Brad came home and played his Gameboy SP. I didn’t have anything to do so I went to sleep in the bedroom. Brad joined me after a while and then eventually, I got too hot so I came in the living room and went to sleep on the couch. Brad got up about 9PM, I guess and I eventually woke up after 10PM. I was still highly disappointed that we didn’t do anything for our anniversary. Brad tried to cheer me up but It didn’t really work…. at all. We stayed up until about 4AM.

Finally went to sleep and woke up after 1PM Sunday. We needed to shopping but sat around too late and decided to go to Brad’s Moms house with our clothes to wash. Loaded up and got to her housie. Talked and sat around. Eventually, Brad and I decided to do our main grocery shopping Monday (today) and just go buy a few things at a store in town that we needed for Monday breakfast and lunch. Did that and came back. Eventually ate supper with them. It was goooood good good. Talked and sat around some more. Watched The 4400 @ 8PM and then The Deadzone @ 9PM. Loaded up our clothes and other things we had and drove on home. It’s nice outside tonight.. finally back down to the 60’s instead of like 80!!! at night like it has been. SHEW.

Now here I am. Wow, It’s 2AM?! Geeze. Didn’t realize It was that late. I’m tired! I know this entry was long but I figured I’d post about my whole weekend to look back on. Mmmkay. I’m gonna post this, check out some pictures then head onto bed. Nite nite!!!!!
