SPARK!

I have come to really, really, really love Sparkpeople!

Reasons why Sparkpeople is awesome:
~ FOOD LOGGER! I log in every day to input my food. They make it super easy to find foods or input foods.
~ Recipes! Their recipe database is amazing and the choices are endless!
~ Fitness Logger! I have just recently started to actually USE the fitness logger and wish I would have done so sooner. It lets you input all your calories burned however you want whether choosing from their list or manually inputing it. They even have an option to track your STEPS which is rad because I now wear my step counter so I get to log those.
~ Reports. YES! This is another area I have never looked at before until now. All kinds of reports on your nutrition and fitness. I’m really starting to rely on the deficit report for calories IN VS calories OUT.
~ Sparkpages! It’s pretty neat to have my own sparkpage and to browse through others to hear all the stories which always inspires and motivates me in so many ways.
~ Subscriptions! You can choose to have different articles sent to your email daily and I really enjoy getting them and learning about all things HEALTH!

I don’t even remember how I found sparkpeople? I think It was from my Mother in Law, actually. She was telling me about different weight loss websites and had mentioned Sparkpeople. At first I only took a glance but then the website kept my interest so I signed up since I was searching for a website to log my food anyhow. Heh, just thought I’d spill on my love for Sparkpeople!

I am so cold now from sweating! I went all out on the treadmill this morning… no surprise! Burned more calories today than I did with Monday’s treadmill workout and also went .5 more to add up to 4.5 miles TOTAL! I’m feeling excellent and can’t wait to eat lunch and get a nice shower to warm up. Katie is getting a cold so I gave her a little Tylenol before her nap and she fussed a bit then passed OUT. Hopefully she’ll feel better pretty quickly. Wellllllll, I’m gotta get up and go get things ready for lunch since my lovah will be home soon for his lunch break so we can hang out and eat!

P.S. - The new Angels and Airwaves album is amazing. I love their music!!!

Health

The greatest wealth is health

It’s so true!!! I did not treat my health as top priority in the ways of eating for a long time. I used to sit around all day and constantly go to the fridge and get something else to eat. We used to eat every Friday night at McDonalds where I would get a used-to-be favorite combo of mine.. ranch chicken sandwich with a small order of mcnuggets plus a drink. Sometimes I would eat 4-5 ice cream sandwiches for dessert and then still be searching for something to eat. I’m so glad I changed my attitude about my health and eating because If I don’t have my health then I don’t have my life!!! I remember when I was “attempting” exercise and how It felt going over to my Mother In Laws house to use the treadmill. I started out at 2.0 MPH I think and at the time only a few minutes of walking would put my legs and thighs into a burning pain because of the weight but I kept going. NOW I can run up to 8.0 MPH so far and look back at that 2.0 MPH and have to grin because of all I have worked so hard to accomplish. I’m gonna make sure to keep this healthy lifestyle I have shaped for myself and I think everyone should strive to do the same for their own lives because our bodies are so important. Our HEALTH is so important!

“And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones; And shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures; And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint. And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen.” ~ D&C 89:19-21

It was another busy yet satisfying day! I usually only do 45 minutes or so of exercise on Wednesdays but I did 15 extra minutes on the bike so I did an hour!!! Also did some misc floor exercises inbetween my resistance rope workout and the bike. SQUEEEEE. Brad has set a goal for himself to do 50 push ups a day this week so I’m excited for him!!! I’ve got some online work I need to be working on but wanted to post my daily entry and with that, I’m out!

Enzymes, take 2

I pushed myself a bit further with my exercise today!!! Usually I do around 2-2.5 miles on the treadmill for Tuesday so I wound up doing 3.1 miles followed by a 109 calorie burn on a Wii Active workout! Kindof in a hurry tonight seeing as I still need to download my online work and get started with that. Today was really busy between the exercise and then getting ready to head out for my Doctors appointment. Pretty much all the Doc said was that It “might” be fatty liver from losing so much weight in a “short” period of time but I lost it in almost a year? Who knows. Might be a few other things so their gonna do bloodwork and go from there.

It’s COLD. Some areas in Alabama actually saw some snow flurries today, sheesh!! COME ON SPRING! It’s March, time to start warming up!
