Another week down and good news! Brad thought he wasn’t gonna get any money from last week for this weeks paycheck but he got paid for his 2 personal days he took off so yay monies!! I’m glad It’s the weekend! Brad and Katie are currently zonked out on the couch together lol <333

Got a package from my Aunt today!!! All kinds of goodies– this BEAUTIFUL blankie!

Lots of people rely on GPS systems to help them get where their going and espically in their vehicles. My husband has GPS software for his laptop so we just hook up his laptop into his truck when we’re going on a roadtrip. If you’re trying to keep track of a vehicle though then the gps tracking would be superb to keep an eye on someone. I’ve seen quite a few shows where the parents keep an eye on their teenagers with the gps tracking. Keep track of someone today!

Everyone likes to go out every now and then atleast to see a good movie. What if you could have your very own home theater to sit back, relax and enjoy any movie you wanted to? Like with the home theater sconces! That would be awesome but I’m afraid that’ll never happen in my lifetime! Well, a girl can wish can’t she? Hehehe. Espically to have really nice, squishy seats and maybe even a popcorn maker! All this talk about movies makes me want to load up our DVD player!

Another busy day! This morning went well — when Katie would go down in her crib I would lay down on the couch with the video monitor on our coffee table and I’d wake up when I’d hear her gruntin and squirmin then I’d change her, feed her then put her back in crib then I’d lay back down and get more sleep. Did this until about 11AM? Then I knew I had to get up and start getting ready since Brad’s Mom would be coming over to get me and Katie. I got her all ready then got myself ready and Brad’s Mom called and said she’d be over @ 12:35PM. She came and picked us up and we were headed off! Took a long time at the Doc’s office with the waiting! Doc said Katie looks great :] She weighed 5lbs 8oz at birth then dropped down to 5lbs 4oz and now she’s 5lbs 12oz! She’s still got a little jaundice but besides that she is gooooood! Her next appointment is this coming Tuesday!

We went to my WIC appointment but I didn’t have proof of Brad’s income so we’ve got that rescheduled for next Thursday. After all that running, everyone was thirsty so we went and got milkshakes!! Came back home and MY BAAAAAAABY was home hehe when we pulled up! He was waiting at the door! <3 We went and ate at Brad’s Moms house this evening — ate some veggie soup! Once we got home I went and laid down then Brad came not long after that and for the first time since I gave birth, we slept in the same bed together and how I have missed laying by his side oooomg! <333 I LOVE HIM TIMES A MILLION! I’m so thankful he came into my life. What a blessing my life has been since he came into it. Thinking back on memories my heart just fills with warmth and my eyes fill with tears <3 My Bradllllllley!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <333 I can’t wait for the weekend coz Brad will be home with me and Katie and we’ll all just get to relax! I’m so loving life.

Yesterday was Brad’s 1st day back to work and what a day! I took a few mini naps during the morning when Katie would go to sleep but I’m not used to such little broken sleep… yet. Brad came home for his lunch break and after he left to go back to work I was feeling more upbeat and awake. I couldn’t wait for him to come home though! My plan was to get a little sleep in the afternoon once Brad came home from work well yesterday was our 2nd baby shower at 5:30PM. Brad comes home at about 2:45PM and I wanted to watch Dr. Phil then by 4PM it was time to get ready to go so I didn’t get a chance to sleep. Brad had Katie with him laying on the couch when I went to get a shower. When I got out, him and her were zonked out. It was so sweet. A sight like that is worth a million words. I let Brad sleep till 5PM then woke him up so we could get ready to head out to the 2nd baby shower! The shower was good — I’d like to post things from both baby showers but haven’t had a chance to sort through them yet! Here’s a pic of the 2nd baby shower cake! BTW, Brad’s Aunt Mary (who planned our wedding & baked our wedding cake) also baked this cake! :]

And then sheesh we didn’t get home until after 9PM! I wanted to get a few hours sleep before Brad had to go to bed and I was gonna lay down after we got home but then we had to love on each other. Since having Katie I’ve just felt this huuuge even MORE sexual attraction to him. We gotta wait 6 weeks tho until I get birth control. Don’t want another baby ATM haha. It’s just that he has been such an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G husband and father. I love him sooooooooooo so sosososoososo much. I did wind up laying down around 10:15PM and he let me sleep till after midnight then he went to bed himself. Miss bitty girl Katie is currently zonked out in her crib. Later today my MIL is taking me for Katie’s 1st baby appointment! Can’t wait to see how much weight she’s gained! :] <3

Happy Memorial Day!

We just had a little storm come through and so Brad and I opened the front door to peek out and It was pouring rain then came a pretty good amount of hail! Brad picked up a large piece—

Our precious Katie D is 1 week old today! I’m so happy and glad that Brad got to stay home for the 1st week of her life. I have to mention again how utterly amazing Brad has been. <3

This afternoon was our first baby shower! It went well and we got lots of baby goodies! Here’s a pic of me with the cake!!

Wow.. since giving birth I have lost about 14 pounds! And I only gained 4 during pregnancy. This is the lightest I’ve weighed in a long long while and I can really tell by the way I feel!!

So last night was my 1st time to put Katie in her crib.. I let her sleep in there last night and kept an eye on her on the video monitor. That monitor is so cool!!! Just look how sweet:

She did excellent! I’d get her, feed her, change her diaper and put her back in the crib and she would zonk out for about 2 hours then I’d let her restle, fuss and even cry a little before I’d go get her for the next feeding and that way she’s nice and awake enough to really eat. She’s such a sleepy baby!

Today has been beyond wonderful. I love how Brad and I still hug and love on each other even now that Katie is here with us. Brad went to sleep last night around 10pm? He woke up a few times but I stayed up all night and dozed a tiny early this morning and I wanted Brad to get more sleep :] so I didn’t wake him up until almost 7:45AM. He got up and then I didn’t really feel that tired so I stayed up, ate and then layed down after 8AM. I told Brad to not let me sleep past 2PM so he came in and woke me up at 2PM. I didn’t want to sleep too much of the day away.

Late this afternoon we took Katie out for her first visit to the grocery store! We didn’t need to buy much so we just went to the store here in town instead of driving all the way out to Wal-Mart which is about a 30 or so minute trip. Gas = RIDICULOUS. I think it’s $3.83? here in town. Ugh. It was nice to get out to the store and espically to have her with us!! People commented on how tiny she is! It’s amazing when you have a baby people notice you automatically whereas before people didn’t blink an eye at us lol. Here’s Daddy getting her set to go in her carseat!

It’s almost time for her to eat again then get a diapie change and her wipe down bath! I have to say I am damn proud that I can pump/express my breastmilk for her. Makes me feel ultra ultra proud! I think I pumped about 11oz today, that’s pretty dang good and she only eats about 1 ounce every 2 or so hours so she has plenty of yummies! I’m so in love. So excited. Feel fantastic. Life is beautiful. <3 Tomorrow will be a week since I gave birth.. time is flying already.

People say she looks like her Daddy but has my nose! :] <333 I love her love her love her! We are gonna be B-U-S-Y the next few days. Tomorrow = 1st baby shower! SO EXCITED! Monday = Memorial Day. Tuesday = Brad’s 1st day back to work & 2nd baby shower! Wednesday = Katie’s 1st baby appointment + another appointment. Then after that who knows! Such an amazing time in our lives. My love meter is overflowing!!!!!!!! <333

Apparently i had been having a slow leak as far as the babys amniotic fluid goes and just thought it was my own fluid – brad and I went to bed about 2:45AM early Sunday and I woke up at 4:00AM with a bit of belly tightness and pretty bad back pain. tried to go back to sleep like i usually do if i have slight pain but didn’t really sleep.. it woke me up again around almost 6AM I think? I couldn’t lay down or sit because the discomfort/pain was the same so i paced the floor until after 7AM when I woke Brad up and decided to call the hospital and ask the OB nurse what I should do and she said if it were her, just to come and get checked. We packed bags just incase and Brad’s Mom drove us up there. The back pain was bad and my belly remained tight. Blah blah had to fill out paperwork and they got me back to the room and my Doc came in, checked to see if the fluid was the amniotic and It was.. she checked my cervix.. 10 CENTIMETERS. I couldn’t believe it!!!! The pain I had been feeling was labor but It just felt like real bad back pain so Doc said yep, your having a baby today! They were almost certain she was gonna have to go to the bigger hospital over an hour away because of being premature and her lungs might not be as developed as they should. Course being 10 CM I had all natural with no meds because it was way too late for that haha the worst pain I felt throughout the labor was when she moved down into the birth canal and every nerve in my leg was being pressed on.. terrible! And I was determined to push as long as possible was far as seconds and I wasn’t getting enough breaths and Brad said I went almost purple at one point but after about an hour of pushing, she was out!!! No tears either, just a slight “scratch” but after I had her, they brought me lunch and then eventually I walked to our room lol She is a blessing.. she was big enough in weight, didn’t have to have oxygen after birth, nothing. She’s doin good!!

I’m so proud! Brad has been more than amazing!!!!!!!!
