Being a parent is realllllllllllllly frustrating!

Katie will go to the potty PEACEFULLY at my Moms house but throws a fit when Brad and I try at home so this morning we figued out a system. She LOOOOOVES books and LOVES to go outside so Mom said we need to work that out somehow along with the potty. Brad did most of the potty handling today so our system is that we get her to come to the bathroom and sit on the potty while reading a book and she goes!!!!!! Worked all day long. I got really stressed over something pertaining to that this morning so I just went and spent some alone time in the bedroom then after a while got a nice shower. He put Katie down for nap and then we just hung out in silence for a while… haha. After Katie got back up and had her snack we all decided to head out to the park! We loaded Katie in the stroller and walked over to my Moms for a bit because they were gonna drive to the park and we were gonna walk. We met them there and Katie got to slide, swing and run around. She did fine until Brad got her off the swings the first time……. screaming FIT. My Mom and Aunt got her to go run but then Brad took her walking around the park and they wound up by the swings and guess what? He put her back on it. Grrrrrrrrr. The whole point was to RUN her down and not give into her getting back on the dang swings! My Mom and Aunt left to go to the store and I went over and asked Brad WHY he put her back on the swings after my Mom and Aunt had led her AWAY from them and he got all distraught so we decided to go home. Brad, Katie and I together WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THAT PARK. Mom and my Aunt want to take her back out there so that’s good.

Katie pitched a fit when she got off the swing. Pitched a fit when she was put into the stroller. Whined and carried on almost the whole walk home. Pitched a fit when we got home. Brad got her to go potty and then I tried to get her to eat dinner. NOPE she wouldn’t touch it. FINNNNNNNE. Let her sit there and squeal for a while. We tried 2 different times to get her to eat and NOPE so she got her juice and that was it. She wanted grapes but she ate ALL her dinner just fine last night so she was not getting grapes instead of her dinner. This girl is STUBBORN. She gets it from me…. haha. Sigh. I got her ready for bed a few minutes after 9PM then read to her a little, let her play with her book for a few then rocked her, talked to her then put her to bed. Since we’ve moved in EVERY NIGHT she’s pitched a screaming fit when Brad has laid her down at night but tonight she didn’t say one word!

After that Brad and I sat out on our front porch for a little. It’s actually still quite warm outside!! Gonna be EIGHTY DEGREES tomorrow!!! Brad wants to put in another application at one of the places nearby tomorrow and we also need to go grocery shopping.

I’m pretty tired. I am always and forever thankful, grateful and blessed though!!
