I got a call from a church friend this morning saying that her and some other ladies were meeting at the nearby park (where we’ve met up before) and said she would love to see me there. I tried to decide whether I wanted to kick my butt into motivation to go or not…… and I decided to! Loaded Katie up, walked out there….. and none of the ladies were there?!! I sent my friend a text. There were only 4 people (2 kids, 2 adults) at the park, so Katie went and played by herself since the other people were at other parts of the park. I waited. 2 ladies and a little boy showed up. Katie, of course, went straight up and started chatting away. She is REALLY friendly, hah. Eventually I talked to the 2 ladies and actually wound up talking about my church! The boy’s Mom used to be in a relationship with a guy who was LDS. Katie and her son played and loved every minute of it!!!

A bit later on, one of the girls from church walks through the park and sees me and says hey! Apparently, all the ladies were at a smaller park down the road… hah. My friend called me as I was leaving the park to walk home and said she accidently brought her IPOD instead of her PHONE to the park so that’s why she didn’t answer my texts or calls, LOL. That sure is interesting how a day that started out where I was supposed to hang out with church members… wound up a day where I talked to a new person, who has been to the LDS church before. SO NEAT how things work out. I really enjoyed talking to the boy’s Mom and her best friend. She says her and her son come often to the park and that we could text one another if we’re going to the park so the kids can play and we can chat.

Glad I pushed myself to go out the front door this morning. I haven’t been walking since the leaves started falling, so the smell of leaves was strong! It was a nice day, until this evening when it rained for a bit. I slept late this morning, went to the park, came back, fixed lunch for the two of us, ate, put Katie down for nap, took a quick bath, then caught up online and worked on my college work a bit before Brad got home…… shew! Did the same thing we did yesterday- ate dinner together then spent about 30 minutes all 3 of us in Katie’s room, interacting with JUST HER. Hopefully this will help lessen her acting out and throwing fits randomly.

LAST NIGHT we watched The Walking Dead premiereeee!!! It was awesome. Tonight, we caught up with last week’s Fringe episode. YES, FINALLY PETER IS BACK! I was wondering when they were gonna re-introduce his character again, instead of just glimpses.

Think I’ll watch reruns from last weeks eppys of The Doctors before bed. I am thankful for today. I am thankful for the opportunity to talk to new people. I am thankful for my life. I am thankful for my family. Thankful, grateful, blessed for sure !!!!!!!
