OK, I keep getting more and more jealous of ladies that are around my same week of pregnancy that have recently had their new babes! One of the people that I semi-watch on YouTube had their baby girl early this morning and she was one day ahead of me!
I took today to just relax and rest. I woke up from my nap around noon and my legs were really aching.. almost like period-type ache but maybe it was from the way I was laying on my side during my nap or maybe my body getting ready. I had lunch and fiddled online until it was time to get Katie. I ate my afternoon snack early, since my OB checkup was this afternoon. Katie came home, she had her snack, did her spelling homework, and we waited for a friend to come pick us up to drop Katie off at Mom’s then onto the doc’s office. I had a couple mild contractions maybe since about 1pm and then I had a few from the time I left for my appointment until I got in the car when Brad picked us up at Mom’s when he got off work. So, back up to the checkup. Same ole, check vitals-good, give urine-check, and then went to get dilation check by the OB… still the same at about 2-3cm dilated! That was it. Well, the contractions have increased from earlier and I’ve had a few really tight contractions and still having random contractions. Brad seems to think it will happen tonight! If they continue to increase and build in intensity then yeah I would agree might be tonight/into early tomorrow! Which would be awesome, since Brad would have a 4 day weekend and then would start his new job Tuesday. We REALLY do not want him to come this coming Tuesday-Friday because of Brad’s new job and getting settled into the job. We’ll see I guess! I’m ready though If It happens tonight or this weekend! =) If not, then little guy better stay put till next weekend! Just super thankful I made it to 38 weeks. Also, seems all the ladies I’ve either watched on YouTube or know in person that have had the preterm labor shots had their babes within a certain amount of time of stopping the shots. It’s been 2 weeks for me. They say the average time of having the babe after losing the mucus plug is about 3-5 days, which would be from Friday or over the weekend, IF I fall into that amount.
Let’s go baby, let’s go!! Time to get Katie ready for bath then sit down to watch the latest Chicago PD and see if the contractions stick around or not. We are eager to see this sweet little guy’s face! Have a great rest of Thursday… almost Friday!!!! Sending positive vibes to ya and send me labor vibes!
