A few more hours left in 2018 and it’s gone forever. I really can’t believe how fast time goes! As usual, I meant to update after Thanksgiving. Our trip to see Brad’s family during Thanksgiving was awesome! I need to blog stories when they happen because now I don’t even know where to begin. Katie’s had some attitude moments the last few months, including lately. Her and her neighbor friend (who is a year older than her) were riding together on Katie’s bike she got from our college neighbor (Katie was standing on the pegs and her friend on main seat) and she came in to ask me to come see something cool – and I told her I saw them and that’s pretty dangerous and I’d rather them not ride together but they could just continue to each ride their own bikes together. I talked to her for a few minutes about it and she gave random sighs in there while I was talking then said, “Are you done yet?” ………..!!!! I had to stop a sec because I went speechless. I thought a sec and said, “Are YOU done yet?!?!” And she went on. OOOH MY. She is something else. I was kind of dreading Christmas since we didn’t have a lot of money to buy a lot but it all turned out awesome. We put up our smaller tree again this year, like last year and it was just right! Brad’s Mom sent 4 boxes of presents in the mail to put under our tree! Well, one of the boxes was FULL of clothes for our new baby girl!!! So awesome of her. She also sent a lot of diapers for Ben a few weeks ago so I am super super grateful and thankful. We were able to get the kids a handful of Christmas presents and Katie even got to pick out some of her own Christmas, which she loved. Her favorite toy has been the one she picked out from Five Below- a remote control car! I also found her a mini Simon Says game and a mini tamagotchi!! She found a pair of roller skates at Goodwill that she picked out for Christmas and then was lucky enough to get that free bike from our next door neighbor that we said was Christmas too, since we were gonna see about a bike anyway. We took home family photos that I am super happy about!! Also, like a week ago we FINALLY decided on a name for our baby girl! Abigael Raine Moody and we LOVE IT. We are going to mostly call her our Abbie! This pregnancy has been great… I feel her hiccups about 3-4 times a day and just love how active she is with moving and kicking. Still no real complaints, except for belly getting a little heavy sometimes, especially at the end of the day after eating dinner. We only have at most 7 weeks left! I’m 33.3 weeks pregnant so she needs to wait at least 3 more weeks If she wants to come early. I’M SO EXCITED TO MEET HER! And just hope the birth is as smooth as my others have been. I got a shot last visit to protect her from the whooping cough. All other OB baby check ups have been good! Love hearing her little heartbeat each time. It’s always between 145-150bpm.
I wanted to come recap our 2018 before the time is up! We decided in January or early February to officially TRY for one more baby! This year we celebrated Benjamin’s 1st birthday at the end of February of course, followed by finding our new place on my birthday in March and moving in at the end of March! We still love our place so much. Katie’s 10th birthday was in May, me and Brad had a spiff in May but was all good, went to Six Flags in early June- which was super fun! That day or the day after was when I got my positive pregnancy test after just a few months of trying and using ovulation tests. So thankful!!! August is when Katie started 5th grade and my aunt got sick and found out she has a heart infection that damaged her aorta and needs surgery.. but doesn’t have insurance. Mom had her next stroke in September when Brad’s sister was staying with us for a week. Then our lives changed forever after finding out Mom ended up with brain damage from the stroke and hemorrhage. Rest of the year was the line up of holidays and ended with my baby shower in December for our baby girl then all the things I mentioned above! Thankful Mom is still hanging in there and that my aunt got approved for Medicare and Medicaid so she can see about getting the surgery next month – we hope! 2018 was a pretty good year but I’m excited for 2019!
Wishing everyone the best as we move on to 2019!! I’ll try to remember to post tomorrow about my hopes and goals for this NEW YEAR!!! Sending good vibes to everyone.
