Katie started showing an interest in sucking her thumb around 4 or 5 months old espically when I would lay her down in her crib. Now, at 20 months she will suck her thumb when she gets tired If we’re out somewhere and before her head hits her mattress at night that THUMB is in her mouth.
We’re gonna break that little habit ASAP because I do not want her to be teased or for it to mess up her speech, lip, teeth, gums or whatever else it may interfere with as she grows along the way. With the advice of my Mom, tonight I’m going to use one of Katie’s bigger socks as a mitten and use some medical tape and see what I can do with that. Of course she is gonna flip out at first but she’s a really fast learner so I think we can break this habit real quick and I want to go ahead and start now.
LET THE BATTLE BEGIN! Haha.
Welcome to February!!! Tomorrow is Groundhogs Day and I’m hoping for an EARLY SPRING, yes! This morning I got some errands done and checked the mail then organized our bill budget so we can keep up with our money. That has helped us SO, SO MUCH. I had a fire under my feet today once again haha and wound up doing 3.2 miles on the treadmill. I feel SO AWESOME because I keep up with my exercise. I have so much energy! Last night, Brad and I sat down in our living room floor and played Scrabble just the two of us and we had so much fun except that we both were soooooo tired at the end of the game that we couldn’t think anymore so we gave up with me having 2 blocks and him only 1, lol. He still won though, heh. We plan on playing again tonight after we study our church lesson together.
I’m excited. Life is amazing and I love every second.
I wish my mom would have taken that initiative with me. I sucked my thumb at night until I was a teenager. 🙁
That’s what i need-a budget organizer. 🙂 I am ready for Ground Hog day. I hope we get an early spring too! YES!! It will be so cool if we do!! I’m totally ready for spring already.
