FYI: this is gonna be a long post :]

Our trip to Georgia was good all except for the smoke like I mentioned before! Simba doggie is still hanging in there and Moms kitty Hunter (he’s about.. 6 months?) is as spunky as can be! He LOOOOVES to play but does NOT like to be held heh. Mom cooked LOTS of good food, I tried to eat as much of it as I could, lol. I really love love LOVE to play card games with Mom and Cathy.. always have since I was real young. It’s kindof a family tradition. We stayed mostly at my Cousins house THANK GOODNESS he doesn’t smoke. We would sleep at my Cousins house, get up go over at Moms and go back to my Cousins house later at night. annnd brad’s mom/stepdad still have to buy us presents so it’ll be after new yearsSOOOOO. Today was our FIRST baby Doctor appointment! Man, my OB Doctor is FABULOUS. She is really, really nice. Everyone in that office is! All the nurses. First, I got taken back (Brad couldn’t come) and one of the nurses went over my paperwork and made sure everything was right. I’m 5’3″ and my BP was waaay down – I KNEW IT WAS THE DAMN SMOKE THAT WAS RAISING IT. It was still a litttle high so their gonna keep watch on it of course. After I was done there I went to the examination room where they said to put on the mighty gown, lol. They went and got Brad and he came back and helped me put on the gown hah. Doc finally came in and my first impression of her was a very kind, gentle woman. She also went over more of my paperwork and asked more questions about this and that. She also GAVE me a pregnancy book! I thought that was GREAT! Also gave me a paper handout of helpful hints and tips for pregnancy such as what to take for colds, headaches, info about exercise, food etc etc. I was really impressed and happy with that!

THEN! She said they would try to find the babys heartbeat by the doppler but If they couldn’t find it then they’d do an ultrasound! Hehe. She tried to find the heartbeat but all they got was mine going very fast! Reason being I was very nervous! I told her I was trying not to be, lol. Then she said they’d do an ULTRASOUND YAY! I was sooo thrilled to hear they were going to since we would get to SEE OUR BABY! Before that though she went ahead and did the pap smear, (fun! not haha) breast and pelvic exam. They rolled in the ultrasound machine, put the jelly on me and the minute she put the device on there, THERE WAS BABY! AWWW. It was AMAZING! I felt my eyes start to tear up but I was SO HAPPY that I really couldn’t completely cry! Brad was watching it by my side and at first we were zoomed out so we got an overall view then she zoomed in and baby was head down, lol. So funny! We saw it squirming and moving all about! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Said baby looks good and active! Babys heartrate was about 160bmp! Here’s our baby!!!

SQUEEEEEEEEE. Seriously, I could not be happier just thinking about OUR LITTLE ONE! I mean, just look at that little bitty baby. AWWWWWWS! After we were done with the ultrasound, they wiped off the jelly and she said that my next appointment will be in 4 weeks and then I got up, got dressed and we had to go back out to the waiting room while we waited for the nurse who was gonna take my bloooood. Called me back, they took a urine sample then I went to another room with the same nurse I first saw and of course she was extremely nice and she actually got the vein the 1st try and they took 6 vials of blood! Came back to the front and scheduled our next appointment for January 24th 🙂

And finally, OUR BABY IS DUE JULY 8TH, 2008!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Now I can’t wait for New Years Eve! 🙂 Going over to Brads Aunts house to shoot fireworks, eat good food and watch the ball drop into 2008!! Brad doesn’t go back to work until Wednesday 🙂
