– our dearest Ratticus Finch (pet rat) passed away at 2 1/2 yrs old on Oct 23 =( RIP little dude.
– Katie’s PT conference went well. she just has a problem with interrupting
– We took Katie to our church’s trunk or treat & she went as a pink princess

SO~ I have tried a LOT of diff things in an attempt to regain my health. Everyone I've talked to about my situation over the years has said that due to my PCOS and other imbalances that it would be best to do a low carb lifestyle, but it has always been SO HARD to maintain... until now! The Naturopath I was seeing recommended high protein, moderate fat, and low carb. I... couldn't do it. I was still feeling bad and not satisfied. Of course lots of carbs does not make me feel well. My other holistic person that put me on the thyroid meds said that I should just try to balance all healthy foods. Well, that doesn't exactly work either. I recently talked to a chiro friend online that plays with me on Lord of the Rings Online and he recommended KETO! High amount of healthy fat, adequate protein, and low carb! I'm on day 3 and IT'S EXCELLENT. This is what I need to stick to and guess what? I'm able to maintain this.. I can already tell. I stayed up late Saturday into Sunday then slept till late morning Sunday. I didn't get up early to take my thyroid meds so I took those WAY late. I don't know if it was that or detox, but when I woke up I felt so shaky, nauseous, and felt my face go white. I felt this way for 2 HOURS. I tried to sip water and did not want to eat anything. I finally took 2 bites of sausage but felt so weak with heart palpatations that I had to sit down after standing for a few minutes. Finally, after 2 hours I got sick a little. That's the first time I've thrown up since pregnancy I think? I felt better afterwards, but my appetite was still off a bit the rest of the day. I did manage to eat later throughout the day. I'm excited for thsi! My biggest mistake when I lost weight in 2009 was that I cut out all fats. THAT was the mistake. Our body NEEDS the healthy fats to produce hormones and function correctly- to feed our brains! Maybe other people can handle carbs, but if I ever stand a chance of getting everything back in balance I cannot have them (well low amounts, mostly with low carb veggies! LOVE my greens!!!!). Keto will teach my body to use healthy fat to burn the extra fat on my body. The person the chiro told me to check out for info is Stephanie Person on YouTube! She is awesome and is found here.
I have been going in the same circle of health disaster and it has only gotten worse the last year or so. I was gaining weight AGAIN and I do not want that! I want to get healthy and let the fat melt off. Healthy fats will do that, if we teach the body to use fat instead of carbs for fuel. No, healthy fats do NOT make you gain weight.
What else? UMMM. College is moving along! Taking another psychology class and have to write a small paper today. Need to wash clothes, clean our ferret’s cage, and get that paper done. Oooo hopefully we can watch the latest Walking Dead tonight! Will prob watch last week’s Biggest Loser during dinner tonight. I cannot believe it’s November… the new year will be here FAST. EEP.
