It was a pretty gloomy, rainy Wednesday! It feels like it should be Thursday… anyway, I took a short nap this morning on the couch, then eventually worked on my college discussion. Katie just played and talked a million miles an hour like always. Ummm, she went down for nap after lunch & I got my bath + OTH rerun, then had lunch. My friend called and said she was gonna be late visiting her family, so she wouldn’t make it back in time to watch Katie. Sooo, I tried calling Mom & no answer. Decided to wait a while then try again. After Katie got up, I washed dishes, and folded laundry. Eventually got a hold of Mom, who said she would watch Katie tonight…….. wooot! Brad came home, got ready, and headed out to drop Katie off, then GYM TIME BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!
The trainer decided to train us both together again, this time with a LEGS workout. Then we went onto cardio. Here was the overall workout summary —
elliptical warm-up 10 minutes, .75 miles, 100 calories
steppers (switching feet fast up on the edge of a step) – 1 minute, 2 sets
side raise (pushing ourselves up then moving forward on a ledge) – 1 set for each leg, down a long ledge
burpees – 2 sets, 10 reps
stair stepper – 20 minutes, 48 floors, 152 calories
treadmill – 25 minutes, 146 calories, 1.63 miles
We were both dripping sweat with the leg routine! Of course the cardio is getting pretty good at getting me sweaty… which is exactly what I need. I brought my own whey protein shake for after my workout, but it wasn’t enough. We eventually headed out to Wal-Mart to get a few things, then picked up Katie, came home, put her to bed, and I chopped up, steamed, and put away veggies. Next, took a shower, and here I am. GOTTA get to bed as soon as I publish this…. we get home late and get to bed late, but that just means we both need some sort of nap tomorrow. Wish we could go to the gym earlier in the day, but he doesn’t get off until almost 6pm, so yeah.
Time for Zzzzzzzzzzzz! Have a great night. Thankful, grateful, blessed.
Sounds like you had an awesome workout! That sounds great! 😀
