HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! Let us all remember all those who fought for us and lost their lives!!!!
The weather was nice all day up until this afternoon when some clouds rolled in and then so did the rain! I can still hear the rain outside. Looks like the BBQ’s and boaters are gonna get wet! Speaking of Memorial Day, Jon and Kate plus 8 have a new season starting tonight! I really love that show even though Kate can be a bit crazy sometimes but can you blame her with 8 kids?! I’ll have to dig around online and see If I can find the episode hopefully tomorrow or in a few days since we don’t have cable!
So after my weigh-in this weekend I was happy to get back on the treadmill today and boy! What a workout! I only did 60 minutes but I’m doing a harder workout so we’ll see how this all adds up for this week. I’m now keeping track of just about EVERYTHING I eat with SparkPeople.com! My MIL told me about the site and so I checked it out and it’s GREAT! You can log EVERYTHING from your food to your exercise and can communicate with other people who are trying to do the same. I was thinking I needed around 2,000 calories a day but now I don’t think so… before I KNOW I wasn’t getting 2,000, I was getting more around 1,300 a day MAYBE and I’ve done that for the last 4 months! Then last week I was trying for almost 2,000 calories a day and GAINED 3 pounds so that tells me right there that I don’t need that much so I’m trying to go for 1,500-1,600 possibly but again, we’ll see how this week pans out and then If I have to I’ll rework it again!
Last night Brad and I watched Sling Blade online through Netflix and I haven’t seen that movie in years and years! He’s never seen it and he said in the end that It turned out to a way better movie than he thought It was going to be. I love that movie. I think Billy Bob Thorton did a good job portraying Karl and the little boy was just too cute!!!
Well, everyone enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day! I could go for some BBQ food!!! Brad was “supposed” to be off work today but then they changed the holiday rule to having had the job for 10 months instead of 6 months so he had to go in BUT the good thing is, he gets paid time and a half so WOOHOO, more money for his paycheck! Oh now the sun is gonna come out again!
Our weather today was the opposite. It started off being quite cloudy and overcast, and then suddenly around 3pm it got really bright, sunny, hot and muggy! It didn’t matter too much though, since we decided not to do a bbq this year. Well, not on Monday, anyway. We’re going to try to get one in later this week. 🙂
Congrats on getting a good workout in today! Logging your food and physical activity is definitely a huge help in keeping on track and on top of things. I use an excel spreadsheet to log my weight, and my-calorie-counter.com to track my calories and fat grams.

I think I’m a day late, but the sentiment remains, lol. 🙂 Wow, it sounds like you’re doing really well with your weight loss! 60 minutes on the treadmill is a huge achievement, I could probably only last 60 SECONDS on one of those things (well, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, but only slight!). Sorry your hubby had to go into work on the holiday, but yay for time and a half pay! My younger brother always purposely tries to get shifts at work on public holidays so that he’ll get extra pay, lol.
