How was your Saturday? I faced the scale after I woke up to find the fact about cleanses is true….

I LOST 7 POUNDS!!!

True that you lose a pound a day because I DID! Woot! That is the most weight I’ve EVER lost in a week. I’m so amazed that in 3 weeks I have lost 16 POUNDS!!

FIRST UP, I tried my new Amazon Chocolate supplement powder blended in with the unsweetened almond milk this morning and It was pretty good. I got a call from our church Temple this morning regarding the job that I had an interview for… like 2 months ago but I told them right now I just can’t take the job – espically because of my lack of transportation. We took Katie to Moms for the day then headed to Publix to pick up jugged water and I found some avacado + oatmeal facial clay mask! Brad also got a Clif carrot cake bar + a blue Gatorade. We came back to the house and I folded laundry, cleaned house, put on my new facial clay mask, washed it off, got a shower and eventually fixed my hair. We spent some time with my Aunt and Cousin as well! My Cousin got a new ProForm SPIN BIKE… I really like it! I got to try it out… hehehe. It’s red a black. We picked Katie up a little after 7pm and here we are. Day 11 of the cleanse! Passed more impacted stuff and have felt ok today I guess. Not feeling so hot right now tho… I haven’t taken any kindof nap and I usually do so I’m ready for sleep. I had my supplement drink this morning plus 2 veggie juices. The last one wasn’t that good at all – I took raw coconut juice, celery, ginger and romaine. Yea. Coconut and celery don’t create a good taste just so I can remind myself of that! Keeping a mental note. Still gotta fix my herbal tea – that will be great. I LOVE my hot herbal morning and night teas.

OK so I’ve been trying to analyze the REASONS WHY I wound up with the overgrowth in my intestines. I really think it comes down to the fact that I wasn’t giving myself enough good nutrients plus hard exercise and that threw my gut flora out of balance. Well, I think it all started to go out of “balance” when my period went missing in August 2009 and then again after November 2009. Of course gallbladder removal surgery didn’t help that balance any… then my bigger weight loss numbers went byebye December 2009. Something good must of kindof stabalized me in early 2010 since I felt incredible but then crash and burn April 2010. I think the increase in running in early 2010 and still not enough good nutrients finally cut the only remaining good balance completely OFF and my body had-had enough and couldn’t sustain anymore.

I know how to keep it in balance now. I WILL. Give my body all the nutrients it needs so I can be in balance and finally be the runner I’ve always wanted to be. Thankful… thankful… thankful!
