SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!

I didn’t go back to bed this morning, but I did take a 30 minute nap. Once Katie was up and all set, we got ready to go outside again! Well, first I turned in college stuff. Gathered up my scriptures, mp3 player, water, snack, and then we were off! She loves just playing outside and running around. I’m not sure what is up with my nose… last few days its been feeling kindof puffy? Little itchy? Might be something outside irritating it, or maybe something I’m eating? I have no idea. I think my body is also detoxing… Brad made a comment about the smell of my breath (great!), but he said it was the same kindof smell when I was doing the juice fast last June so that’s why I assume I’m prob going through detox with FINALLY sticking to a clean diet plan for longer than a week and plus the awesome exercise to help. Well, he said it isn’t really my “breath”, just.. the air? If that makes sense? Yea. I did brush my teeth and use Listerine and still that so yeah, lol. Lovely right?? Hah. ANYWAY… TMI. Stayed outside for almost 2 hours again with Katie then heade back inside. She eventually went down for nap and I ate lunch, took a bath so I could shave then another 30 minute nap. I do much better when I get even more sleep… esp since we get to bed so late because of the gym. Think I’m gonna go back to sleep in the morning after Brad goes to work. Sounds epic to me! I went to visit with my neighbor for a short time then came back, ate my snack, fed Katie, chopped up and steamed some summer squash for me, cooked our dinner for later, got gym stuff ready and my sweeeeeeeet came home! Oooooooh yeah! Those SQUATS were awesome. I did 55 the last time I did them, so I was pushing for MORE. I went until my thighs burned! THE BEST PART OF IT ALL? TREADMILL! Running is so awesome to me. I ran STRAIGHT NON-STOP for 35 minutes and JAMMED OUT and got SUPER PUMPED UP with music from Hoobastank! I remember running and being pumped back in 2010 to the same music. Brought back so many memories. I ran at 5.5 for a bit and got my heart rate up in the 180’s then came back down to run about 4.5 then back up to 5. It felt soo good. I’m so, so, so, so thankful to be running again. Suffering for 2 1/2 years and not being able to run like that anymore felt more like I suffered and hadn’t run in 5 years, lol. I had a 5 minute cool down and was trying to get 3 miles and wound up with 2.99 haha. I was soooooooooooooo thirsty, so I drank the rest of my water that I had with me then went to fill up at the water fountain and got the lady at the front desk to put plenty of ICE in it for me and I guzzled about 20 ounces of water. GULP! I also bought a whey isolate protein bar… rocky road brownie, mmmm. it’s one of my favs. Oh and a small protein smoothie sample they had up front. When they make smoothies, if they have extra in the bottom they fill it up in sample cups and anyone can have them. I saw one and told Brad to SNATCH it for me! Also, we weighed ourselves and did body fat measurements – mine was around the same, but I really prefer to use my morning weigh-in VS evening because It could change so much from all day. I think I wanna buy the body fat measuring tool – they have the same one at GNC! That way I’ll just use my weight from the morning and do body fat like that. My morning weight is going down, whereas the evening weight at the gym was about the same. We sat around for a bit then headed back home! I had some protein powder mixed with water and my turkey patty mix.. ate a little extra, since I burned a bit more tonight. I feel better now that I’ve had a bit more.

I’m so proud of myself for still sticking to my eating and I think the HAPPINESS from this running is driving me forward – to keep going! I’m soooooooooooooooo excited.

Also, we have been trying to come up with a name for our new pet rat. Brad sent me a txt while he was at work this morning and had thought of “Ratticus Finch” like Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird, lol. Usually his ideas are….. ridiculous, but I actually liked Ratticus Finch! Heh.. so we shall call him RATTICUS! He’s a sweet little guy.
