I’m soooooo happy for my handsome hubby! He went to the Army recruiter yesterday and last time they weighed him, he only had to lose 1% body fat and now he’s 1% UNDER the limit, YAY!!!!! They want him back up there for another measurement Thursday so they told him to bust his butt from then (Monday afternoon) until Thursday morning. He’s good to go! They just want to ensure that he gets under more than 1% and then he’ll go to MEPS for his testing and etc. Their sending to MEPS at 2 potential different dates but the only one I remember is the 13th so we’ll see! I’m excited for him!!!! Finally things are starting to move along.
Brad came home yesterday from Jasper and I eventually got dinner fixed. Our friends were supposed to come by but their car was giving them problems AGAIN! I decided to go along with Brad to the walking track since he’s really gotta push himself to try to lose more body fat before Thursday! I had already done my scheduled “exercise” for the day so by the time we got home from the track, I’d done a little OVER 6 miles total! We got home around 9PM so I put Katie straight to bed and an AWESOME dinner was waiting for meeeee! Baked chicken, brown rice, seasoned turnip greens and large butter beans. It was so good! Then for dessert I made 1 cup fat free milk blended with 1 scoop chocolate protein powder plus some sweetner. I put it in the freezer while I was eating dinner. After dinner and dessert, I still wanted a little more so I had a few apple slices and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. DELICIOUS. All of it!!! We were both so tired! Decided to watch an episode of Dawson’s Creek and then I was more than READY for bed!
I have been running around all day today. It’s good to be able to sit down and post this. After the usual Mommy duties and breakfast this morning, I did a cardio workout on the Wii Active [More Workouts] then jumped on the treadmill and did a mile in 13:45!!! WOOTS. Brad has been needing to get his blood pressure medicine re-filled and he finally got an appointment for 2:30PM today so I had to rush, rush, rush. I got done with exercise and fixed a little protein shake and had a big, fresh peach. I love, love, love peaches! Also a whole 22oz of water and so that was all very filling! Got a quick shower while Brad fed Katie a snack then we were headed out the door to try to get grocery shopping done before Brad’s appointment. We got done just in time! Brad left for his appointment and I had to put Katie down for her nap, put away groceries then fix my lunch! Brad’s at the store picking up his meds now. I still need to fold some laundry and Brad has to leave again later for his church meet up. Hoping we can play some cards or something before he has to go — that would be fun! Definetly a busy day! I’d like to call my Mom sometime this evening since I haven’t talked to her since Saturday? I think?
Anyhow, off to fold the laundry and eventually fix my snacks!!! I’m so glad I’m finally getting back into the groove of things with my exercise, portion and calorie control with my foods because keeping it in line helps me feel great! Good things are just around the corner for us. I just know it! Thank you Heavenly Father for another day!!!!!!
