Brad asked me last night If I wanted to watch a movie after we studied our scriptures and I said sure! We ate then I had to pry him away from his computer so we could study then I asked him to pick something we could study and he couldn’t pick something so we just sat together and each studied on our own… which It’s supposed to be a discussion outloud together but eh. He was exhausted and even fell asleep while reading his scriptures, lol. He laid down on the couch and went to sleep and I got online for a bit longer then we went to bed! It was a little after midnight when we went to sleep.
I woke up with a sore throat! … =( I really hope I’m not getting sick. My throat felt a little better after I got up and ate something but still doesn’t feel 100% so we’ll see. I hope it feels all better tomorrow.
After breakfast this morning we all got ready and went OUTSIDE to enjoy another beautiful warm day. We walked around in the backyard then went exploring in the woods for about an hour! It was so wonderful to just be in nature and explore. I used to do that pretty often so It makes me super happy. Katie was soaking up every second!!! She loves it outside as much as I do. We made our way into then out of the woods! Brad sat on the backporch for a little longer then wanted to go back in so Katie and I stayed outside for another hour? I think? We soaked up some sun and just hung out crunchin leaves. We came in to eat lunch and then hang out. Katie went down for nap around 3:30PM and then I eventually watched more Secret Life. I looooved sitting out in the sun today.
DAY 5 OF HIGH PROTEIN! Getting close to a week! In 2010 whenever I’d feel a little unwell, I would always turn to food and eat to help “attempt” to make me feel better so I was worried today that I’d be more than tempted but nope! I FINALLY had my egg/cottage cheese/turkey sausage/toast breakfast this morning!!! The multi-grain bread I bought is SO GOOD. Since we got up later, I decided to go ahead and wait until lunch to eat again instead of a snack inbetween. I had my veggie/tuna/lentil salad, fruit cup plus some protein powder mixed with milk and a tiny bit of oats. A little later I still felt hungry so I fixed a little more protein powder with water and put it on the end piece of my bread… that was delicious!!! My next snack I took pumpkin, 1 scoop of protein powder and mixed it up then heated it for a treat plus my cup of cheerios + little raisins and a few almonds. I drank 3 of my sports bottle of water this morning and then this afternoon I washed out the 59oz orange juice bottle that had last weeks Trop50 in it and filled it with water and just finished drinking that WHOLE thing not long ago so I drank like a gallon of water today? lol. I’ve felt okay today and can’t wait to feel even better. I’m so excited because I’m not turning back from this.. no more giving into food with binges or lots of carbs. I feel confident and I know I will stay on track. I was trying so hard last year to stay on track with not eating too much but I was missing the KEY to staying on track in my case… IRON! I know the iron in my diet and iron pills are the main things that are helping me stick to my plan plus the protein/fiber/veggies!
Also excited because I wore FLIPFLOPS yesterday to the store! That’s a first in a long time!!! Brad and I wore our Crocs with no socks outside today then when Katie and I were hanging out in the backyard I went barefoot!!! When I came in I was also barefoot around the house until this evening when I started to feel a little chilled – probably from all that water I drank haha! Oh yea and we also filed our taxes yesterday so we should get our money within 2 weeks AND THEN WE CAN FINALLY START PUTTING OUR MOVING PLANS INTO ACTION!!!!!! I just ate my last snack – the usual sweet potato + PB! You can tell that I’m getting better overall since my blogs are getting long again but that makes me happy!!!! I OWE EVERYTHING I AM AND EVER SHALL BE TO MY HEAVENLY FATHER!!!!!!!!!!
PS- im LOVING Hedleys song “Perfect” and lead singer is eye candy fooooor sure!
